Forms That Take Action: Automate Workflow Termination with IF/THEN Logic
Automation isn’t just about launching workflows—it’s about knowing when to stop them. Now, Trisk’s IF/THEN Logic lets your forms automatically terminate workflows based on user responses, preventing unnecessary steps and keeping your processes efficient.
Some workflows need to stop the moment certain conditions are met. Whether it’s avoiding redundant tasks, skipping irrelevant steps, or ensuring compliance, IF/THEN Workflow Termination helps you cut the noise and focus only on what matters.
Use Case Examples: Your team processes contract approvals. If a form response indicates the deal was canceled, the associated workflow is automatically terminated—no manual intervention, no wasted effort.
For professional service firms, unnecessary workflows create inefficiencies. Now, processes can terminate themselves based on logic, preventing delays and reducing manual oversight.

What’s New?
IF/THEN now extends to workflow termination:
🔹 Terminate workflows based on responses – Set conditions in the Form Builder to automatically stop a workflow when the form is completed.
🔹 Prevent redundant actions – If a workflow is no longer needed, it won’t continue unnecessarily.
🔹 Real-time transparency – Users can preview which workflows will terminate before they complete a form via Foldover.
How to Set It Up
Setting up IF/THEN Workflow Termination works the same way as with the Forms:
1️⃣ Go to Studio > Form Builder > IF/THEN Connect tool
2️⃣ Select a trigger condition (e.g., “If the answer is ‘No'”)
3️⃣ Choose an action from the new THEN Action dropdown: “Terminate current workflow”
Now, workflows don’t just start themselves—they know when to stop, too. Once the form is submitted, the workflow is immediately stopped—no extra steps, no manual cleanup.
Workflows marked for termination will be clearly indicated with a cross-circle icon and displayed at the top of the task list.
To ensure no critical information is lost, Trish will automatically notify the task manager when a workflow is terminated, providing full context on the termination reason
Important Notes
Not for Surveys: Surveys function as standalone tools, separate from workflows. IF/THEN Workflow Termination does not apply to them.
Activity Tracking: Every termination event is logged in the Workflow Activity History, ensuring full visibility into what happened.

3️⃣ Your downgrade will begin at the start of your next billing cycle—no unexpected gaps in service.

Important! Trisk does not provide refunds for unused time. Your current plan remains active until the end of your billing period, ensuring a smooth transition with no interruptions.
