3 powerful enhancements of April: OCR-powered form pre-filling, Trish AI built into Review Tasks, and a faster way to clean up IF/THEN Logic. Keep reading to see how these updates can simplify your daily workflow.
Smarter Forms with OCR: Turn Uploaded Files into Pre-Populated Answers
With Trisk’s built-in OCR (Optical Character Recognition), you can upload a file and watch your form fill itself. The system extracts text directly from PDFs, Word files, spreadsheets, or images and auto-populates the relevant fields. You keep complete control but skip the typing and the usual copy-paste routine.
A Real-World Example
You’re onboarding a new client and receiving their paperwork. Instead of copying over details like name, birthdate, contact info, and address field by field, you upload the document. Trisk’s OCR scans it, detects the answers, and pre-fills the form for you—within seconds.
Why It Matters
Whether you’re reviewing scanned IDs, spreadsheets, or tax forms, OCR speeds up your work, reduces manual entry errors, and helps you focus on real decision-making—not transcription.
What’s New
🔹 OCR File Upload Inside the Form
Upload documents or images directly into the Form interface for automated form filling.
🔹 Smart Text Extraction
The platform automatically pulls structured information from files—including tables and even legible handwriting.
🔹 Auto-Fill Options
Choose between: Override All Fields or Extending Empty Fields (only fills blank fields, preserving your inputs)
🔹 Highlighted Pre-Fills for Full Visibility
Once pre-filled, changed fields are highlighted so you can verify and edit as needed before submitting.
🔹 File Saved to Garage
All uploaded files are automatically stored in Trisk’s Garage and connected to your workflow for easy access.
🔹 Secure by Design
OCR processing is encrypted, private, and compliant with enterprise-level data policies.
Important Notes
❗️ The OCR feature is available for Teams and Business Pricing Plans users.
❗️ The OCR use does not consume AI credits during form execution. (Learn More about AI Credits: “AI Credits: Smarter, More Transparent AI Usage in Trisk”)
How to Use OCR to Pre-Fill Forms
- Open your Form Task. On the top of the screen, you will see the section labeled: “Upload files here to pre-populate questions on this form.”
- Upload files from your PC or Garage. Supported formats are listed right in the interface.
- Click the Pre-populate button.
- If any form fields were already filled, choose how to proceed: Override All Fields or Extend Empty Fields (while keeping your inputs intact)
- Trisk will auto-fill available fields. The highlighted sections show what was updated, so you can confirm or adjust them before submission.
Upload Limits
- Up to 10 files per form
- 5MB max per file
If your upload exceeds the limit, Trisk will flag it and help you adjust instantly.
With OCR, your forms fill themselves. You stay in control. You save time. No more copy-pasting. Just progress.
Meet Your Smartest Reviewer Yet: Trish AI Now Powers Review Tasks
Trish AI is one of the most powerful tools on the Trisk platform—and it just got even more intelligent, helpful, and built for action. With AI now fully embedded in Review Tasks, Trish interprets form responses, analyzes attached files, generates summaries, refines prompts, and even starts conversations for you.
Imagine opening a task and instantly knowing:
- Which answers have typos or errors
- What doesn’t match across fields or uploaded documents
- Where the inconsistencies are
- What needs to be fixed—no digging required
Trish does it all—highlighting red flags, summarizing findings, and creating smart, editable Discussions so your team can act fast with full context.
No more switching between PDFs, scrolling through spreadsheets, or second-guessing submissions. Whether you’re reviewing tax documents, onboarding forms, or client information, Trish makes every review smoother, smarter, and radically faster.
A Real-World Example: Tax Form Review in Minutes
A mid-sized accounting firm uses Trisk to collect tax-related forms and supporting documents from clients.
Previously, tax associates had to manually compare submitted forms with uploaded documents like IDs and financial records, spending up to 20 minutes per review.
Now, with Trish AI Review:
- Trish analyzes the form and documents together
- Spots inconsistencies (e.g., the Social Security Number doesn’t match what’s listed in the attached tax return)
- Flags unusual values or missing data
- Leaves clear, editable comments in the correct fields
- Summarizes key insights and concerns
The result? Faster reviews, fewer errors, and significant time saved per submission.
What’s New
🧾 Form and File Review—All in One Place
Trish now analyzes both form inputs and any attached files. If documents are included (like passports, IDs, or financial reports), Trish will cross-check them against form data—catching mismatches, typos, or missing elements. But even without uploads, Trish provides detailed insights based purely on the form.
💬 AI-Generated Discussions
Discussions have always been a part of Trisk’s review process—used to block approvals and request changes. Now, Trish can generate them for you. If something looks off, Trish will add a Discussion automatically (e.g., “Date of birth seems invalid”). You can edit, delete, or resolve them just like manual ones.
📍 Prompt Editor with Built-In Suggestions
You control what Trish checks. Write your own prompt to guide the AI. Use the “Improve prompt” tool, and Trish will offer suggestions for improving clarity and results. It’s like having a writing assistant built into your logic.
🔁 Prompt History—Saved in Context
As you refine your prompt within a review, each version is saved automatically. Use the arrow controls (< >) to toggle between versions—go back, compare, or reuse what worked best—no retyping needed.
🧪 Preview Mode in Form Builder (Free)
You can preview how AI Review will look using the Preview tool in the Form Builder. This lets you experiment without using any credits—perfect for testing how your setup performs visually.
📊 Visible AI Credit Balance
Your remaining credits are clearly shown inside each Review Task, so you always know how much has been used and how many are left. Simple, transparent, and helpful.
📁 Supported File Types & Limits
Trish supports document and image files up to 5MB.
Accepted formats: PDF, PNG, JPEG, JPG, GIF, TXT, DOCX, RTF, CSV, XLS, XLSX
How to Use Trish AI Review

You’ll find it in the right-hand foldover, next to other tabs like “Tasks” and “Details.” - Add Your Prompt

Trish reviews the form and any files, generates a smart summary, and creates Discussions if issues are detected. You’ll see them directly on the form and in the Discussions tab. - Done Reviewing? Continue As Usual
Approve, edit, or return the task—AI Review doesn’t change your process, it just makes it easier.
Why It Matters
This is a true time-saver for legal, finance, HR, compliance, and other professional services teams. Trish doesn’t just speed things up—it gives you a head start. You no longer have to find the problem. You just decide what to do about it.
With AI built into Review Tasks, every review becomes clearer, faster, and more confident.
Clean Up IF/THEN Rules—Fast
Managing conditional logic just got easier. With our latest update, removing IF/THEN Rules—whether they control field visibility (IF/THEN Show) or connect tasks (IF/THEN Connect)—is now faster, more intuitive, and fully in context.
What’s Improved:
Delete Rules from the Form Builder
See a rule under a question that no longer applies? Remove it instantly—right from where you’re working.
Remove Inside the Rule Configuration Screen
Whether you’re building or editing complex logic, you can now delete directly from the configuration view, with complete visibility into what the rule does.
Smart Confirmations
Every rule deletion is followed by a confirmation window summarizing the logic you’re removing—so you’re always in control to prevent accidental removals.
This update removes friction for users managing dynamic forms with lots of branching logic—saving clicks, time, and mental load.
